Priscila A. Janjua

Priscila was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to parents who emigrated from Chile, South America. Growing up steeped in both Canadian and Chilean cultures, she developed a deep appreciation for diversity.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from the University of Manitoba and her J.D. from the University of North Dakota in 2022. After her first year of law school, Priscila was a summer judicial extern in Bismarck at the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. She worked in the chambers of Judge Daniel L. Hovland, Judge Daniel M. Traynor, and Magistrate Judge Clare R. Hochhalter. By her second year, Priscila interned at a family law firm in Grand Forks, where she worked for a year and a half until her graduation in May of 2022. During law school, Priscila enjoyed participating in mock trial courses. Priscila received the highest grade in her Trial Advocacy class (Spring 2021) and was a Finalist in the 2022 Carrigan Cup mock trial competition. Priscila also served as President of the Law Women’s Caucus, Vice President of the Canadian Law Students Society, and was a Student Rep for the Student Bar Association. Priscila received two leadership awards in recognition of her service: the “Lillian Elsinga Outstanding Student Leader Award” and the “Class of 2022 Outstanding Law Student Leader Award.”
In August 2022, Priscila joined SW&L Attorneys in Fargo, focusing her practice on helping clients navigate domestic issues such as custody/visitation, divorce, child support, contempt, paternity, name changes, predicate orders, and adoption. Being fluent in Spanish, Priscila is also dedicated to assisting Spanish-speaking individuals.
Beyond the courtroom, Priscila passionately supports local charitable initiatives in the F-M area, such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Fargo, Fargo Pack for My Starving Children, Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center, New Life Center, and Churches United for the Homeless. Priscila also currently serves as the Secretary/ Treasurer for the Cass County Bar Association.
For fun Priscila enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family at the lake.
