ALISHA ANKERS has been a sole practitioner in Fargo, North Dakota, since 1998. Her main area of practice is family law, including custody matters, child support, divorce, paternal rights, custody investigations, guardian ad litem work. She has presented trainings on family law topics and mediation through the National Business Institute and the ND Supreme Court. She has experience in juvenile court and complex family law matters. Ms. Ankers is a member of the Cass County Bar, Clay County Bar, State Bar Association of North Dakota and Minnesota State Bar Association. She served as secretary/treasurer of the Family Law Section of the State Bar Association of North Dakota from 2005 to 2013. In 2014 she served as the Chair of the Family Law Section. Ms. Ankers is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, and a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She was named a Great Plains Super Lawyer 2011-2018. In 2015 she became certified as a Family Law Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Ms. Ankers earned her B.A. degree from Hamline University (1989) and her J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law (1992).
